  • Summerside Intermediate School has two book clubs that run through out the school year. There are students from grade 7-9 that participate. We have been fortunate to have Atlantic authors Sharon E. McKay and Vicki Grant to the school to talk about their books.

Thank you for considering our book club!

  • I hope you will consider an entry from a very small (but enthusiastic!) book club, from a small (but beautiful and historical) town in Ontario.
    Thank you.

  • Our book club is called the “Novel Bunch”. We meet about 5 times per year to discuss books and twice a year for a dinner get-together at Christmas and in June. There are 8 members and we take turns hosting the meetings in each other’s homes. Our meeting starts with refreshments, followed by a dessert prepared by the hostess. We then discuss the book with one member offering to lead the discussion each meeting.
We thoroughly enjoy our get-togethers and the friendships which have developed as a result of the group are
    wonderful.
We try to vary our selections, but we are partial to Canadian authors! We have read selections by Atlantic authors or about the Atlantic area by :Beth Pouning, Lesley Crewe, and Deborah Carr.

  • The Bozzy Book Club for kids in Lunenburg, NS is held every second Wednesday when south shore children are dismissed from school early. The club has approximately 25 members that range in age from 3 to 9 and meets at the beautiful Boscawen Inn for author readings, Mad Libs, music, and crafts that relate to the theme of the week’s featured story. This is a wonderful opportunity for local authors and illustrators to share stories with a bright group of children in a gorgeous venue and for children to learn the art of storytelling and creating from the artists in their own community. This group’s energy is contagious and inspiring to those who wish to engage children in story and song.
