——

Since 2017, l’Institut Français invites once a year places of culture and knowledge to celebrate the free flow of ideas and knowledge by offering, the same evening, conferences, meetings, forums and round tables, but also projections and artistic performances.
The # NightOfIdeas 2020 theme is: “Being alive”.

For the second edition of the Night of Ideas in Halifax, we have chosen to focus on issues related to the sea and its ecosystems. The sea and its ecosystems are more than ever in danger. At the heart of current events and concerns, science is at their service to try to better preserve them. How can Man protect his seas and oceans? What is ecological transition? The evening will be divided into 3 separate sessions that will attempt to provide answers to these questions.

Session 1

POETRY
Poetic crossover views on the oceans between Sue Goyette and Georgette LeBlanc
6.20 p.m. – 6.55 p.m.

Session 2

7.00 p.m. – 7.40 p.m.

Session 3

Animation and Documentary films
Putting talks in perspective with audiovisual media
8.10 p.m. – 9.30 p.m.
